Where is the Toolbar?

We'll show you where you can find the Lineardraft Toolbar in each CAD application.

The Lineardraft Toolbar is the key to unlocking the possibilities of designing OCS projects and here we will look at how to configure your CAD application to display the Toolbar in the way that suits you best.

No matter which CAD application you are using, you locate the Toolbar (and subsequently, the buttons that lie within) in two separate places. These discrete methods are explained below:

MicroStation V8i MicroStation CONNECT AutoCAD 2020
  1. Open MicroStation
  2. Navigate to 'Tools' > 'Toolboxes'

    Shortcut: Ctrl+T

  3. Check 'Linear Draft - Custom'

Once selected, the Toolbar will be displayed in your window and can be docked anywhere on screen.

Did you know?

The Toolbar and buttons are automatically loaded into the 'Tasks' dialog located in the main drawing section of the application. From here, you can use Lineardraft functions by selecting the corresponding buttons or by using MicroStation shortcuts.

In addition to this Toolbar, each Lineardraft section can be expanded to display all button options available within said section. Simply click & hold on a feature button and select 'Open as Toolbox'. This will open the chosen section as an individual Toolbar that can then be docked in exactly the same way as the main Toolbar.
