The latest version of Lineardraft contains some important changes and this article will take you through them step-by-step.
PLEASE NOTE
There will most likely to be an update to your organisations Project Settings alongside this Lineardraft update. Both the update to Lineardraft and your Project Settings should be done simultaneously in order for the changes to be effective.
Any available updates, as per usual procedure, will be displayed in your Lineardraft Desktop tray application.
Following feedback we received from our users, it was brought to our attention the +/- button, was confusing and led to users positioning wires with incorrect staggers. The 'Toggle - Invert' button was located on the 'Wire Configure' dialog and was used to invert the chosen stagger value from a positive to negative (or vice-versa)
The decision has been made to no longer include this option within the dialog and a stagger, either positive or negative, can be achieved simply by typing the required value into the 'Stagger' field. An example of this can be seen below;
Following this update to Lineardraft, if you are looking to report on the Versine & Span information within your model, you may find one of the following;
- Versine & Span information is contained and displayed within your design, but when producing a report, the columns in which you'd usually find the Versine & Span information - the words "Please recalculate" are displayed.
- The Versine & Span details, when displayed in your model, no longer contain the correct values and 'N/A' values are instead.
If either of the two scenarios listed above are occurring within your design, then the process of rectification is simple. Please follow the steps as detailed below;
- Open your design within your CAD application and ensure that Lineardraft is active.
- Re-confirm the Versine & Span annotations between each structure by selecting the 'Add Annotation' button from the Lineardraft Toolbar and following the prompts to select the structures. This process should be repeated for each Versine & Span annotation you want to re-confirm.
- Once the process has been completed for each Versine & Span annotation, the correct values will now be displayed within your design and upon re-generating the report, the correct values will now be shown.
