When you are building models in Lineardraft, it is likely that the project will be broken down into multiple construction units in order to keep the model size manageable.
There may come the time in which you require a structure which is allocated in a different design, to also be displayed in your own design. The most common instances of which are the structures before the start or after the end of your design.
This is where the ability to identify a structure as a 'Hidden Structure' comes in useful. A hidden structure will be displayed in a 2D layout design, but will not be shown in the 3D model view - but most importantly, a structure that is set to 'Hidden', will not be included in reports - therefore eradicating the possibility of BoQ duplication.
The process to hide a structure is very simple, just follow the steps below
- Select the 'Structure Adjust' button from the Lineardraft Toolbar and when prompted, select the structure you want to hide.
- Once the 'Edit Structure' dialog is displayed, click on the 'Settings' button
- The 'Settings' dialog will be displayed. Tick the 'Hidden Structure' check box found in the 'Miscellaneous' section of the dialog and click 'Confirm'
- The 'Settings' dialog will close and the 'Edit Structure' dialog will be shown once more. Click 'Confirm' and the structure will now be identified as a hidden structure.
