View Selection

Models can be become complicated and difficult to follow. With View Selection, that's now a thing of the past.

'Views Selection' allows you to identify elements that are associated with either a wire or a structure. This feature can be used in any Lineardraft view.

  1. Select 'View Selection' button

Follow the prompt to select either a wire or structure.

  2. Select a Wire

Select either a catenary or auxiliary wire.

Once selected, the 'Selection View' form will be displayed.

The selected wire name will be displayed at the top of the form and the wire itself will be highlighted (on both 2D and 3D levels).

On the form, the 'Wire' checkbox will also be active.

The other checkboxes on the form will not be active at this time. Upon selecting additional checkboxes, further graphics & information, across both 2D & 3D levels, will be highlighted.

Only information & graphics that are directly related to the chosen wire will be highlighted upon selection.

    Select a Structure

Once selected, the 'Selection View' form will be displayed.

The selected structure name will be displayed at the top of the form and the structure itself will be highlighted (on both 2D and 3D levels).

On the form, the 'Structure' checkbox will also be active.

The other checkboxes on the form will not be active at this time. Upon selecting additional checkboxes, further graphics & information, across both 2D & 3D levels, will be highlighted.

Only information & graphics that are directly related to the chosen structure will be highlighted upon selection.

Top Tip

Once you have viewed the highlighted information & graphics or a particular wire or structure, you do not need to close the form and click 'View Selection' again to view a further wire or structure.

Simply click the 'Change' button on the form and follow the prompt to 'Select a Wire or Structure'. Upon doing so, you will now see the highlighted information & graphics for the newly chosen component.
