Notate your structures in your model easily and speedily - let's see how.
To add notes to a structure, start by navigating to the Lineardraft Toolbar.
- Click the 'Notes New' button.
Once selected, follow the prompt to select a structure. This should be the structure which you want to associate a note.
Once the structure has been selected, the 'Note Entry' dialog will be displayed.
- Select a note 'Type'.
This determines the type of note you want to add to the structure and it will also assign the appropriate note symbol on your layout. As standard within Lineardraft, there are three options to choose from - 'Hazard' notes, 'For Design' notes and 'For Construction' notes (additional notes can be configured by your project manager/administrator).
- Enter note details.
Type the required notes in the main body of the form. The note message will not be displayed on the layout, but it will be stored within the model data.
- 'Show Graphics' checkbox.
If the box is ticked, then a note graphic will be displayed on your layout. If the box is not ticked, then there will be no graphic displayed on your layout.
- Click 'Confirm'.
This will accept your selection and place note symbol in your layout (if 'Show Graphic' is selected) and attach your note to the model data.
